About Gatsby

Gatsby is Olivia's sire.  Gatsby is a 17hh homozygous black Oldenburg stallion by the Hanoverian Gonzo I.  Gonzo I was a grand prix show jumper and also a Puissance horse who topped the 7'2" wall several times. His dam is a thoroughbred named Kalua Song whose sire was Seattle Song whose sire was Seattle Slew.

I looked at hundreds of stallions online before I settled on Gatsby in December of 2010.  After seeing how pretty the conformation and general look of his past babies [out of TB mares] were I decided he would make a perfect match with Ella.  The traits in Ella that are less than ideal are some of Gatsby's most complimented traits so I took a gamble that their baby would turn out pretty nice.

On September 3, 2011 I took a week long vacation to Oregon to meet Gatsby!  Here are some pictures from our meeting!

Gatsby is currently standing at stud in Canada at Mountian Creek Sporthorses.

For any questions regarding breeding to Gatsby, please contact me at gatsby@mrsashleyandolivia.com. I would love to share my breeding experience with you and introduce you to Gatsby's fantastic owner!

His demeanor is nothing like I expected out of a stallion! SUCH a sweet horse!
